FIVE STEP LESSON PLAN
Set Induction/Anticipatory Set:
Instruction/Teaching to the Objective:
Tell the students that there is a lot of idle time during their day and that they can use this time productively.
Guided Practice:
Model how, while pretending to ride the school bus, you can practice reciting the XX Counties in alphabetical order. Move your body to simulate bumps and pot-holes in the road. Tell the students that they will all do the same thing (one at a time) after you have demonstrated the process.
Independent Practice:
Have each student repeat the process that you have demonstrated.
Closure:
Explain that idle time does not have to be wasted time.
EVALUATION:
Each student should have recited the xx counties in xx seconds or less.
RESOURCES AND MATERIALS:
No Resources Required. Lesson will take about 1 minute per student.
