Teacher Instructions for Sample Paper Tests

What We Provide

We have modified the 1,479 Sample Test Questions from the Oklahoma Department of Education and we have formatted them so you can present them to your students in a variety of different ways. We supply you with free overhead slides, discussion mode drills, paper tests, auto-graded tests and trackable tests.

Printing the Paper Tests

In order to make the test questions more attractive and interesting to the students, we have colorized the questions and added graphics. While the color and pictures look beautiful on the overhead slides, in dicussion mode and in the auto-graded section, the quality of the paper tests depends on the quality of the printer that you have available. These paper tests look best if you use a color laser printer to print the tests. If your school does not have a color laser printer, use the best printer that is available to you.

After printing with your best printer and photocopying ONE SET of questions with your best photocopy machine, go through the questions on the photocopied set and cross off the questions that are not clearly readable to your students. Then cross the same questions off of your original test and photocopy sets for all of your students.

If reading passages are required, print and photocopies for your students as needed.

Have your students ignore questions that are marked out. Students can use our answer form or your Scantron forms.

Let Students Grade Their Own Tests

The overhead slides, discussion mode drills and paper tests are all designed to help you prepare them for the annual tests.

The paper tests are simply another way of exposing your students to the questions. The goal of the paper tests is to get your students used to the environment that they will face in the annual high-stakes testing at the end of the school year.

In order to make this system easier for you to administer, we suggest that, after students have taken the test, you read the answers to your students and have them grade their own tests.
